What is your rate for consultation services?
Each consultation is charged at a flat fee of $200 with hourly work required outside of the consultation charge at $25/hour.  Please see our pricing page or call us for more detailed information.

What is your rate for wine tasting events?
Our prices vary according to the number of guests and proficiency level of the wine tasting course.  Rates begin at $500 for a beginning level course with less than 18 guests.  Please see our pricing page or call us for more detailed information.

Why should I pay you to host my event?
Good question.  Our clients hire a professional wine steward for a variety of reasons.  Some know little about wine but want to provide an experience where they and their guests can learn about the exciting world of wine.  Others are already extensively familiar with wine but want a professional host to take the worry out of planning and allow them to be a participant in there own event.  Remember, our Wine Stewards are not just wine geeks; they are also Service Professionals, with vast experience in public speaking and the hosting of events.  Hiring a professional also saves you money, as we can help you find retailers with the best prices and help you to purchase wine that gets the best bang for your buck.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my event?
Yes.

Does Twin Cities Wine Tasting Services provide the wine for my event?
No, however, we will help you to select the wines needed for your tasting, find a liquor retailer that offers the best pricing, and even pick up product that you have purchased for a minimal concierge fee.

What are the qualifications of your Wine Tasting Hosts?
Our professional Wine Stewards have a minimum of eight years in the wine industry, have hosted hundreds of wine tasting events or dinners and have administered nationally recognized wine lists in the twin cities. 

Can Twin Cities Wine Tasting Services provide food for my event?
Yes.  We work with a local caterer to provide basic appetizer platters for Wine Tasting Events and can work in conjunction with Twin Cities Chef Services to create more elaborate culinary experiences.

Does Wine Tasting Services provide all of the necessary equipment for my tasting?
Yes, we provide all equipment that is typically used for wine tasting including, Glassware, Service Napkins, Spit Buckets, Corkscrews, Trash and Recycling receptacles, table clothes, Tasting Mats, and background information on the wines you will taste.  Requests for unusual equipment will be handled to the best of our ability, however additional charges may apply.

What is the uniform for your Wine Tasting Hosts?
Our hosts are professionals and can be expected to arrive at your event impeccably dressed in suit and tie.  If you prefer more casual garb or a specific uniform to match the ambience of your event please feel free to ask us and our hosts will be more than happy to dress accordingly.

Do you offer free services for fundraisers and charitable events?
Absolutely!  Please contact us if you are interested in using our hosting services for your next fundraiser or charitable event.  While we can only offer our hosting services free of charge, we may be able to help you find donated product through our extensive network of contacts in the wine industry.

Besides helping in the selection and service of wine, can you help me plan other aspects of my event?
Our hosts specialize in the area of wine but have extensive experience in all areas of service and event planning.  Do not hesitate to ask us to incorporate other parts of your event planning into our consultation services and we will give you an honest and realistic answer based upon our experience in any given area.  Please be aware, however, that additional charges may apply.

I want help building a wine cellar in my home, can you help?
Generally our Wine Stewards consult only on the stocking and development of private wine stewards.   We may however give you advice on design elements that will help you keep your wine cellar organized and make recommendations on builders who can help you with the actual construction.

I am throwing a large party and need bartenders in addition to a wine steward for my event, can you help?
Absolutely.  Twin Cities Wine Tasting Services is associated with Twin Cities Bartending Services and can supply staff for all aspects of your event.
